Acer Aspire ONE D250 ComparisonSome months ago I bought a Netbook, Acer Aspire One model D250.
The model in question has as main characteristics the presence of an Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz, 512KB L2, 667MHz FSB), a hard disk with 160 GB capacity (not Flash as in other models of the same line), 1 GB RAM and a 10.1-inch monitor.
The unit is also equipped with wi-fi, very useful to be able to use the home or office network without having to plug the network cables (still available thanks to the Ethernet port on your laptop) and a web cam with microphone.
At first I was a bit 'skeptical on buying this product because of the lack of a CD / DVD player, today is not essential but is very useful for burning data to be transferred (in addition to any program or to install or play movies).
Apart from this small flaw can be addressed by any external module (which in any case it would ruin the convenience of an article so compact), after months of use we are extremely satisfied.
This is a device limited by the potential, just think the fact that mounts a bench only 1GB of RAM, has a particularly powerful processor and a chipset integrated graphics (Intel Graphic Media Acceleator 950) is not particularly high performance.
Furthermore, it is also a video output that allows, if desired, to connect your computer to any external monitor (which still puts a strain on the performance of your PC if you want to use a larger screen to watch a movie or do something different from simple tasks to office).
Very convenient is the card for reading SD memory cards and the like, especially if you bring the computer along with a camera or you want to expand the hard disk.
The presence of two doors of this type is that it allows to use it instead of an ordinary USB card adapter is as real expansion of space for storage.
A mole is the battery.
Since 3-cell has a duration ranging from 2 to 3 hours, depending on use made of it. If you want to carry around all day and maybe turn it on when you need us otherwise become aware that in a particularly "active" is likely to leave the street.
Are in fact willing to buy a new more powerful.
Package includes:
Acer Aspire One 250D
Power cable
User Manual
CD ROM for recovery
Instructions for the warranty and technical support
Black leather case to prevent scratches.
Among other things, a few days ago I had problems with booting the PC.
I contacted support via email, which has been required to send the instructions to restore the functionality of the product (I had to just update the bios with a few simple operations).
I am therefore very pleased with customer support, at least at a distance (I hope not ever having to use the device for sending mail).
Ultimately I think this is a product that combines quality at an affordable price (339 euros).
The performance nevertheless allow a use that goes beyond the simple office work, because my son has heard several times on holiday music or watching movies without any problems (but obviously attached to the current issues of autonomy, with operations so that demanding it changes significantly), and is considered more than satisfactory.
