Toshiba NB100 Reviews

Toshiba NB100 Reviews

Even I am determined to take one of those small computerino that stan going so fashionable right now .. I was very skeptical when buying it or not, because I am used to the convenience of having a full keyboard and a large screen above. E 'success pero' I sold my Vaio, and who bought more than a pile of 100 notes ;-) I also gave this Toshiba NB100.
First, it is a Netbook, a computer that is designed specifically for browsing the Internet ... you can 'do anything of course, but we take into account the small size of the screen and keyboard

Technically, it has a screen 8.9 ", a 120-gig hard drive, RAM is 1 gig, with 3 USB ports and an SD card slot. The processor is an Intel Atom.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: PLEASANT SURPRISE
Yeah, I'm realizing that he had made the right choice ...... first function for which it did this type of PC is paid extremely well by this Toshiba. I surf the internet perfectly, using my wireless home ... I did not find any difference in performance compared to the other pc that I have or that I had, and the convenience of being able to stay in bed under the covers with the Netbook belly is really very good!

The battery lasts a blunder ... a full charge allows us to take on the netbook for more 'than 3 hours .. qualosa that I was not accustomed, by now .. the performances are from pc "true" ... Applications open quickly, there are long pauses or caricmenti .. even the movie can easily be seen, without jump audio / video.....col integrated Bluetooth, you can also send and receive photos, videos, music ... . In short, this is a miniature PC, with which we can prticamente everything we usually do with normal PC!
As a downside, I can think just the fact that at night is difficult to write texts ... the keys are in fact blacks, and the letters and numbers syphilis dark color .... so .... not blue on black seen crabs ;-))))

As operation, I'm using this netbook with the following software:
Win XP
Open Office (same as MS Office Suite)
CD Burner XP (the DVD RW but there is' no, must be taken outside)
AVG Free (Antivirus)
Yahoo Messenger
Emule
Acrobat Reader
Java-Flash latest versions
Vlan Media Player (for watching movies)

Acer Aspire ONE D250 Comparison

Acer Aspire ONE D250 Comparison

Some months ago I bought a Netbook, Acer Aspire One model D250.
The model in question has as main characteristics the presence of an Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz, 512KB L2, 667MHz FSB), a hard disk with 160 GB capacity (not Flash as in other models of the same line), 1 GB RAM and a 10.1-inch monitor.

The unit is also equipped with wi-fi, very useful to be able to use the home or office network without having to plug the network cables (still available thanks to the Ethernet port on your laptop) and a web cam with microphone.

At first I was a bit 'skeptical on buying this product because of the lack of a CD / DVD player, today is not essential but is very useful for burning data to be transferred (in addition to any program or to install or play movies).

Apart from this small flaw can be addressed by any external module (which in any case it would ruin the convenience of an article so compact), after months of use we are extremely satisfied.
This is a device limited by the potential, just think the fact that mounts a bench only 1GB of RAM, has a particularly powerful processor and a chipset integrated graphics (Intel Graphic Media Acceleator 950) is not particularly high performance.

Furthermore, it is also a video output that allows, if desired, to connect your computer to any external monitor (which still puts a strain on the performance of your PC if you want to use a larger screen to watch a movie or do something different from simple tasks to office).
Very convenient is the card for reading SD memory cards and the like, especially if you bring the computer along with a camera or you want to expand the hard disk.

The presence of two doors of this type is that it allows to use it instead of an ordinary USB card adapter is as real expansion of space for storage.

A mole is the battery.
Since 3-cell has a duration ranging from 2 to 3 hours, depending on use made of it. If you want to carry around all day and maybe turn it on when you need us otherwise become aware that in a particularly "active" is likely to leave the street.
Are in fact willing to buy a new more powerful.
Package includes:
Acer Aspire One 250D
Power cable
User Manual
CD ROM for recovery
Instructions for the warranty and technical support
Black leather case to prevent scratches.

Among other things, a few days ago I had problems with booting the PC.
I contacted support via email, which has been required to send the instructions to restore the functionality of the product (I had to just update the bios with a few simple operations).
I am therefore very pleased with customer support, at least at a distance (I hope not ever having to use the device for sending mail).

Ultimately I think this is a product that combines quality at an affordable price (339 euros).
The performance nevertheless allow a use that goes beyond the simple office work, because my son has heard several times on holiday music or watching movies without any problems (but obviously attached to the current issues of autonomy, with operations so that demanding it changes significantly), and is considered more than satisfactory.
